Characterful village house in the town center of Gaucin, Malaga, Andalusia. Gaucin is a unique authentic white mountain village with an international vibe. This 4 bedroom house is at walking distance of many lovely restaurants and bars. Gaucin even has a restaurant with a Michelin Bib Gourmand classification! This authentic village house has been renovated in 2024, keeping it’s original details and quirky lay-out. It has beamed ceilings throughout, terracotta and wooden floors, wooden doors and windows, an indoor courtyard, it oozes Andalusian charm yet is finished now with central heating, fully fitted modernized kitchen, new bathrooms, to ensure living comfortably in a house that origins from 1928!

Antique wooden front door opens to a hallway leading to a study or office area on the right and straight through to large open kitchen and dining area. Build in shelving on the wall is not only practical yet with its stained glass windows gives this room a warm and cosy feel. Terracotta floors. There is also a fireplace here. The kitchen is connected to an internal courtyard. Ideal for outdoor dining. There is also a small bodega and the separate laundry room with toilet on this patio. The original wooden doors and windows were kept during the renovation, to acknowledge the history and charm of the house.

From the kitchen, stairs lead up the the first floor to the impressive double height living room with fire place. and double height build in book shelving . Lovely wooden floors. Interconnected with a separate TV corner. Windows open up to the internal courtyard to let light and fresh air run through the living. On this floor is furthermore the master bedroom, with windows opening up to the front of the house. Build in shelving and wardrobes behind a curtain. A fully fitted bathroom services this floor. Following a hallway from the living to the other side of the courtyard, you will find another bedroom on your left hand side. On the right hand (steep) stairs lead up to a lovely sunny lounge terrace, overlooking the village and the surrounding mountains and countryside. There are also stairs going down directly o the courtyard.

Back in the living, internal stairs lead to the second floor. The landing looks out on the double height living room. There is a full bathroom with bathtub on this floor. The third bedroom with balcony to the street. The fourth bedroom is more like a spare guest room if you have extra guests. The access to the stairs leading to the roof terrace is through this room. The roof terrace with Jacuzzi and sun lounges is the cherry on the pudding here. With lovely views, you can imagine yourself spending relaxing times here in summer.

This is definitely not a standard town house! If you like authenticity, Andalusian charm and original details, a house that oozes history this could be your home! The different levels in the house and sometimes steep staircases are not suitable for everyone either, that is the price you pay for the charm. Besides that it is a comfortable home. Fitted with central heating by radiators. Hot water powered by gas. Parking in the street and a large parking lot at a 5 minute walk. The house is sold furnished excluding art, decorations and personal items.

Gaucin is located at 40 minutes from Ronda, 35 minutes to the beaches and golf courses, Málaga airport is at 1,5 hours drive, Gibraltar airport at 1 hour.
